Information we collect
We may collect information you provide directly, including your name, contact information, account credentials, profile photograph, biography, professional history, investment interests, accreditation self-attestation, application responses, and support requests.
When you choose an enabled social sign-in provider, that provider may share only the information you authorize and that Graphora requests, such as your name, email address, profile image, and provider account identifier. Graphora does not receive your provider password. LinkedIn sign-in does not provide Graphora with your complete LinkedIn profile, résumé, biography, or full employment history.
A LinkedIn profile PDF or résumé uploaded to Graphora is supplied directly by the member. It is not retrieved through LinkedIn’s API and is not verified, certified, or endorsed by LinkedIn. Graphora may extract information from that member-supplied document to help populate a profile, subject to the member’s review and confirmation.
Facebook/Meta sign-in and new Facebook connections are disabled during pre-registration and marked “Coming soon.” Existing members may still see a previously authorized Facebook profile image until they disconnect the provider, select another eligible image, or request deletion. Instagram is not a Graphora sign-in provider, and Graphora does not currently import an individual member’s Instagram account data.
We may also collect device, browser, IP address, usage, referral, authentication, security, and interaction data. Community access and private-investment portfolio connections are not active during pre-registration. If Graphora later enables an external investment, community, or social service, we will disclose the applicable data use and process only information the member authorizes that service to share.
Information from other sources
Graphora may receive contact, professional, relationship, application, and interest information from existing Graphora records, its team and affiliated businesses, portfolio companies, clients, partners, authorized customer-relationship systems, public professional sources, and data or enrichment providers where use is permitted. We keep source and provenance information where reasonably available. A record’s presence in Graphora systems—or a high relevance or fit score—does not mean that the person is a Graphora member, has consented to marketing, works for or invested in a referenced organization, or has been approved for an opportunity.
How we use information
- Create, secure, and support your account.
- Verify contact information and profile completeness.
- Match your profile with existing Graphora records and reduce duplicate records.
- Use member-confirmed résumé, LinkedIn-source, and professional-history information to derive participation signals and personalize investment, advisory, board, operating, networking, and other opportunity recommendations.
- Present inferred information for member review, confirmation, and optional supplementation before using it for assessment.
- Process access requests and applications you choose to submit.
- Operate analytics, improve products, prevent fraud, and protect users and Graphora.
- Meet legal, regulatory, contractual, and recordkeeping obligations.
- Send service messages and, where permitted, communications about Graphora offerings.
Graphora may use automated tools, including AI-assisted matching, to organize records and assess potential relevance. Profile completeness, identity or accreditation verification, opportunity fit, and permission to receive marketing are separate determinations. A score or recommendation is not a guarantee of acceptance, allocation, suitability, or investment performance, and it is never treated by itself as marketing consent.
How information is shared
We may share information with service providers that help us operate authentication, hosting, data storage, customer relationship management, analytics, communications, community services, payments, security, and support. We may also share information when you direct us to do so, in connection with an opportunity or application you choose to pursue, as required by law, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a corporate transaction.
Graphora does not sell your provider password or financial-account credentials. Investment and identity-verification records may be subject to additional notices and controls.
Retention and security
We retain information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, to provide services, maintain security and business records, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Provider identifiers and authorized profile images may be retained while the account or provider connection remains active. Member-uploaded résumé files, extracted text, confirmed profile information, and derived participation signals may be retained while needed to operate the member profile and assessment process. Authentication tokens are retained and protected only as needed to maintain an authorized connection and are removed, revoked, or allowed to expire when no longer required. Security logs, consent records, applications, and regulated records may have different retention periods. We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices and rights
You may review and correct profile information, replace or remove eligible profile images, disconnect supported providers, opt out of certain communications, or request access, correction, or deletion by contacting us. You do not need a Graphora account to opt out of marketing or ask about personal information Graphora may hold about you. We may retain limited suppression information so that we can honor an opt-out. Disconnecting a provider stops future provider access but does not by itself delete the Graphora account, member-supplied documents, confirmed profile information, applications, or records Graphora is permitted or required to retain. Depending on where you live, additional privacy rights may apply. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
Social content and branding
Graphora opportunity and promotional pages may display company marks, public figures, campaign imagery, or social-media content that is owned by Graphora, supplied or approved by the applicable company or rights holder, publicly embedded through an authorized platform feature, or otherwise used with an appropriate permission or legal basis. Display of third-party names, marks, or content does not imply that a social platform sponsors or endorses Graphora.
Children
Graphora services are not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information.
International use
Graphora and its service providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border processing.
